May 6th marks the Anniversary of the Institute of Physics in Belgrade. In addition to the standard festivities this years celebration coincided with the official launch of scientific infrastructure acquired and/or upgraded through the funds of the National Investment Plan (NIP) of the Republic of Serbia. Guests from the Ministry of Science, and Ministry for NIP, as well as from various Serbian scientific institutions made a tour of the new facilities.

At SCL the guests were given an introductory talk presenting the labs two Grid sites, particularly the recent upgrade of 712 64bit CPUs funded under NIP. The guests were particularly interested to hear about SCL's experience as a production Grid site within the EGEE project.
