SCL's Dr. Bačić visits BarabasiLab at Northeastern University (MA, USA)

In April and May 2022, SCL's Dr. Iva Bačić, currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Network and Data Science at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, visited the Center for Complex Network Research and BarabasiLab at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts (USA). The visit was supported by the EU Horizon 2020 - ERC Synergy Grant DYNASNET: Dynamics and Structure of Networks, within which the aim is to build a mathematically sound theory of dynamical networks, combining graph theory and the study of networks. During the visit, Dr. Bačić collaborated with several researchers from the group lead by Dr. Albert-Laszlo Barabasi. Their main goal is to set the stage for the novel research topic of physical networks in which the nodes and links are non-intersecting spatially embedded objects. Dr. Bačić also gave a talk on the Onset of physicality in a random network growth model at Northeastern's Network Science Institute.
