On October 10 the assembly of the Serbian Physical Society elected Dr Aleksandar Belic for its new President. Belic had previously held the position of Vice President of the Society. In his inaugural speech Belic stated that "the focus of my work in the forthcoming period will be to improve the visibility and outreach of our Society, and, in particular, to more substantially involve our colleagues working in the diaspora."
